Jacob’s passion for Two Wheel sport began when he was 7 years of age when he started racing BMX bikes. From there, he moved onto riding a Pee Wee 80 Dirt Bike and now is currently riding a YZF250 if as a Recreational Sport.
For Christmas in 2004, he received his 1st pocketbike and soon started competing in minimoto racing on a Chinese Aircooled Cag.
Jacob placed 2nd in the 2006 QLD titles in the Pro Cag category. After the Queensland Titles, Jacob steeped up to the Water Cooled Elite Class, racing a Giannini R2, receiving consistent podium finishes. In October 2006, Jacob took the next level of racing to Junior Road Racing on his 80cc Moriwaki, racing for the first time at Warwick where he placed fifth. In late October 2006, he took delivery of his new Metrakit GP 80XL which he raced at Queensland Raceway and placed 2nd for his first time out on the track.
A highlight so far for Jacob has been his trip to Phillip Island where he participated in a track day. Jacob’s career is only just beginning on his Metrakit and is eager to do his best when competing in the Australian Metrakit Series in 2007.
Jacob has his slight firmly set on riding a 400 in the future. |
