Jacob started riding dirt bikes when he was approximately 5 years of age, he loved just being out in the bush for hours. In January 2005 he started competing in minimoto racing on an air cooled Chinese bike and a few months later on a Chinese water cooled bike. Jacob finished 2nd in the 2005 Qld titles in the pro cag category. In March of 2006, Jacob took the next level of racing to compete in the elite class on his Italian ZPF minimoto which he still competes and practices on and has had consistent podium finishes. At the same time, the doors opened for the Junior road race class, Jacob started to practice and compete on a Morawaki 80 and in October 2006 he took delivery of his new Metrakit 80 and is loving it. Jacob looks forward to competing in the Australian Metrakit series in 2007 and beyond. |
